So, without further ado, let's begin!

Michael: Hi Jenny, thanks for taking part in this Bitesize interview - today we're talking about the benefits of using a website and email marketing for a coaching business. Can you tell me a little bit about your experience with your website and how it has helped your coaching business?

Jenny: Of course. I have been running a coaching business for several years now and I can say that having a website has been one of the best decisions I have made. It has greatly improved the way I do business and has brought in a lot more clients.

Michael: That's great to hear. Can you give us some specific examples of how a website has helped your business?

Jenny: Sure. First of all, having a website gives my business a professional image and makes it easier for potential clients to find me. Before I had a website, I relied on word of mouth and it was difficult to reach a wider audience. Now, with a website, I can showcase my services, credentials and portfolio to a global audience 24/7.

Michael: That's certainly a huge advantage. What about reaching out to clients and managing appointments?

Jenny: Yes, having a website has made it much easier to manage appointments and communicate with clients. I use Calendly that integrates with my website, which allows clients to book appointments online. This has saved me a lot of time and hassle, as I no longer have to go back and forth with clients over email or phone to schedule appointments. Also, my clients can also access their session notes, homework and other resources through the website in my member area, which helps to keep them organised and motivated.

Michael: That's pretty impressive. Lastly, can you talk about the impact a website has had on your business's growth and financial success?

Jenny: Absolutely. Since launching my website, I have seen a significant increase in the number of clients I have been able to attract. This has led to an increase in revenue for my business, as well as a better return on investment for my time and energy. I have also been able to reach new markets and expand my services, which has helped to grow my business even further.

Michael: Apart from having a website, I see you also use email marketing as part of your marketing strategy. Can you tell me a little more about why you use email marketing and how it helps you grow your mailing list and gain customers?

Jenny: I’ve found email marketing is a powerful asset that allows me to stay in touch with my current and potential clients and provide them with valuable information and resources. I use it to build relationships with my audience and to keep them engaged with my business.

Michael: Give me an example of how you use email marketing to grow your mailing list?

Jenny: I use various tactics to grow my mailing list. For example, I offer a free resource, such as an e-book or a webinar, in exchange for signing up for my mailing list. This not only helps me to build my mailing list but also provides value to my potential clients and shows them what they can expect from my services.

Michael: That's a proven strategy and one I encourage my customers to use. How do you use email marketing in your business to gain or convert new customers?

Jenny: Once someone is on my mailing list, I use email marketing to provide them with valuable information and resources, such as blog posts, articles and tips. This helps to establish my authority and expertise in my field, and it also keeps my audience engaged with my business. Additionally, I also use it to promote my services and offers, and to keep my audience informed of any events or promotions that I am running.

Michael: I know you’ve been using it for a while now. How do you measure the success of your email campaigns?

Jenny: I use various metrics to measure the success of my campaigns, such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates. These metrics allow me to see how well my campaigns are performing and make adjustments as needed. For example, if my open rates are low, I may need to change the subject line or the timing of my emails.

Michael: That's really helpful. And what tips and advice can you offer for others who are just starting out with email marketing?

Jenny: Well, I have a few. Firstly, it's important to have a clear strategy for your email marketing campaigns and to understand your target audience. This will help you to create content that is relevant and valuable to your audience. Secondly, it's important to be consistent with your email marketing campaigns, as this will help you to build relationships with your audience over time, they need to get to know you and build a relationship so they trust the information I’m offering, and obviously the courses I run. It's important to use it as part of a larger marketing strategy, as this will help reach a wider audience and achieve your goals.

Michael: Those are great tips and I know they’re working for you. Jenny, thank you for sharing your insights and experience with me today. It's been a pleasure to go over how your growing your business.
